This insertion probe with an implemented glass thermometer is particularly designed for applications in agriculture. The temperature is measured at the tip of the probe and displayed on a glass thermometer, which is manufactured into the stainless steel tube. Glass thermometer are free of maintenance and do not require calibration. Deficencies and malfunctions are easily detected, for example indicated by broken glass or an interrupted liquid column. The probe consists of three parts, each measuring 1 meter in length, which can be conveniently stowed away in the carrying bag it comes along with.
